Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Email Marketing Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on managing email marketing campaigns, including list management, email creation, and execution using HubSpot Marketing tools. The ideal candidate will be a "doer" who excels in executing tasks efficiently, with a strong emphasis on product training and formatting provided content rather than content creation. You will report to the Head of Operations initially, with eventual reporting to the Product Marketer.

This role is critical in engaging potential and returning guests for our guides, as well as supporting internal guide communications as directed by the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
Email Campaign Management:
  • Design, build, and send newsletters and marketing emails using HubSpot Marketing tools.
  • Format and optimize provided content to create engaging, brand-aligned emails that drive guest engagement and conversions.
List Upload and Management:
  • Import, segment, and manage contact lists in HubSpot, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with email marketing best practices and regulations.
  • Optimize list segmentation strategies to target specific audience groups effectively.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
  • Track and analyze email campaign performance, including open rates, click-through rates, and conversions, and report on these metrics weekly.
  • Conduct A/B testing to refine subject lines, content, and CTAs for improved results.
  • Use data insights to recommend and implement improvements.
Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the content, design, and product teams to ensure emails align with company branding and messaging.
  • Coordinate with guides to understand their guest engagement needs and tailor email communications accordingly.
Compliance and Best Practices:
  • Ensure all emails comply with industry regulations, including CAN-SPAM and GDPR.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest email marketing trends and HubSpot features.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in email marketing, preferably with HubSpot Marketing tools.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, segmentation, and analytics.
  • Proficiency in designing email templates with a good eye for layout and branding.
  • Excellent formatting and proofreading skills (content will be provided; no content creation required).
  • Analytical mindset with experience interpreting data and providing actionable insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of basic HTML/CSS for email customization.
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation tools.
  • Experience with the HubSpot Marketplace.

Benefits
Independent Contractor Perks:
  • Permanent work from home
  • Immediate hiring
  • Steady freelance job
Please note that since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
