Position Summary:

The Account Executive for New Zealand & Australia will drive both new business acquisition and account management across all healthcare verticals in the region. This role is responsible for expanding Rhapsody’s footprint within a diverse customer base, including public and private healthcare providers, health tech companies, payers, and life sciences organisations.

 

This role requires a consultative sales approach, strategic account planning, and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage a portfolio of accounts across New Zealand and Australia, driving new business and expanding existing relationships.
  • Develop and execute account plans to maximise growth across all healthcare verticals.
  • Identify and engage new prospects, working closely with decision-makers in healthcare organisations, government bodies, health tech firms, and research institutions.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with clients, understanding their unique challenges and aligning them with Rhapsody’s solutions.
  • Drive cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing accounts, increasing adoption of Rhapsody’s interoperability solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Customer Success, Professional Services, and Marketing, to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Maintain strong pipeline management and forecasting discipline using CRM tools (Salesforce).
  • Represent Rhapsody at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings, serving as a thought leader in healthcare data interoperability

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT sales, preferably within the New Zealand and Australian markets.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, including public and private providers, payers, and health tech companies.
  • Proven track record of success in both new logo acquisition and account management.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong consultative selling skills, familiarity with MEDDIC and an ability to align solutions with customer needs.
  • Experience with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel within New Zealand and Australia as required (up to 50%).
