Job description

ROLE SUMMARY

The Trade Director of Retail Operations Secondee for the Enterprise Pharmacy Team will be responsible for formalizing the strategy, processes, communications and systems to maximize the Retail Trade Account team’s engagement with customers. This individual will work collaboratively across Pfizer Vaccines and Primary Care to continuously improve the effectiveness of Retail Pharmacy team colleagues by developing and executing a data centric, expanding capabilities and developing a best-in-class operational infrastructure. This role will proactively identify issues that could impact Retail Pharmacy goals and identify solutions to ensure the team can maximize the business opportunity with prioritized customers. This role reports to the Enterprise Retail Lead.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate the analysis and business case development of innovative alternative business arrangements across the enterprise portfolio in coordination with the Trade Retail National Account Directors and Primary Care to prepare to present to leadership for evaluation and approval of retail pilots.  Work in conjunction with the Retail National Account Directors, Vaccines, Antiviral and USMA cross functional teams to operationalize novel pilots; including KPIs, Pilot assessments, process improvements.   
  • This position will serve as a Retail Pharmacy subject matter expert and work collaboratively across Pfizer Vaccines and Primary Care to continuously improve ability to cover national Retail Pharmacy accounts
  • The scope of work projects and programs may include the Retail Pharmacy Team’s data development & productivity, impact results by evolving and improving the effectiveness of the operational infrastructure and analytical approach
  • Work with Trade Retail Team, USMA and Brand Leads to prioritize strategy and activation plan for US Retail Pharmacy Team organization
  • Lead Planning for Trade Retail Pharmacy team supporting retail HQ and contracting KPIs to support Primary Care Brands
  • Partner with Trade Retail Team, Primary Care and Channel Management to plan & develop semester Operational Plan
  • Collaborate with US Marketing teams, field leaders, and Retail Pharmacy leadership to develop and execute robust POA agendas
  • Champion pulls through of all major US Vaccines goals and culture initiatives
  • Define, monitor and evaluate success metrics for the Trade Retail Pharmacy engagement
  • Contribute to HQ-based platform functions such as dashboard initiatives, etc.
  • Lead and manage critical projects to advance organizational effectiveness in a dynamic customer environment and across customers of US Vaccines
  • Develop and maintain an analytical and operational role  for the Retail landscape, competitive environment, market trends, economic priorities and strategic incentives across chain pharmacy, mass market retailers, independents and grocers where interfacing with Primary Care.

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 8 years of experience required in retail environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of the pharmaceutical sales operational environment
  • Demonstrated sales success in a Leadership role preferred
  • Recent US Primary Care experience strongly preferred
  • Highly organized with Strong project management capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple teams / functions at Pfizer, both field and HQ-based
  • Highly effective at utilizing current sales & account management technology platforms
  • Strong reporting and analytical capabilities to derive insights from sales data
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), influencing, negotiating, listening and interpersonal skills to effectively develop / maintain productive internal and external relationships. 
  • Effectively communicates with colleagues at all levels across multiple functions (including senior leaders in the organization) with ability to influence outcome of interactions
  • Strong internal networking skills to solicit information and integrate industry best practices to the organization

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $182,000.00 to $303,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
