The role:

We’re looking for an experienced professional who loves making teams more efficient and effective. You understand the value of a Program Management Office (PMO) in a modern marketing organization and have a strong track record of improving processes and driving efficiency.

This role requires both big-picture thinking and hands-on execution. You should be able to simplify complex processes, remove unnecessary bureaucracy, and help teams work smarter—while ensuring the right level of governance and transparency.

You’re highly collaborative, enjoy mentoring teams, and can create structured ways of working that optimize time, budget, and resources. You understand why operational efficiency matters to a marketing organization and beyond.

Hands on:

This is a highly active role—you’ll be both a leader and a doer. As Director, you will guide, mentor, and support the team in getting things done. You won’t just oversee work—you’ll help teams execute and improve. This role requires high energy, positivity, and attention to detail.

About the PMO:

Armis’ Program Management Office (PMO) plays a key role in global marketing operations. The PMO ensures that critical projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing project planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Ensuring clear timelines, budgets, and goals (OKRs) are set from the start.
  • Tracking progress and supporting teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Using Asana (Armis’ enterprise-wide project management tool) to manage workflows.
  • Collaborating with Finance and  Legal to track and manage budgets.
  • Supporting the Chief of Staff in monitoring marketing spend and ensuring it aligns with strategic goals.

Team and Leadership:

The Director, Marketing - PMO reports to the Marketing Chief of Staff (MCoS) and is part of the Extended Marketing Leadership Team. This role oversees a team of three full-time employees and several contractors, with potential for growth.

What you will do…

  • Run and optimize a high-performing PMO for Global Marketing.
  • Develop and refine a clear, efficient PMO framework for project management.
  • Establish governance processes to oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Create regular project “health checks” to keep leadership informed.
  • Manage marketing budgets by tracking spending, producing financial reports, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Mentor and guide teams through challenges, providing escalation support and problem-solving tools.
  • Become a trusted advisor on program and project management best practices.
  • Standardize vendor onboarding and management, ensuring consistency in spending and processes.

What we expect:

  • 10+ years of experience leading Program Management, Senior Project Management, or PMO in a SaaS and marketing organization.
  • Proven experience managing a Project Management Office (PMO) and its operating model—this should be second nature to you.
  • Strong knowledge of project management and governance models—you know what works best in practice.
  • Understanding of how a PMO supports strategic goals and drives transformation.
  • Experience managing budgets, tracking spend, and optimizing project finances.
  • Problem solver with a solution-focused, can-do attitude.
  • Expertise in process optimization, driving efficiency, and implementing innovative improvements.
  • Big-picture thinker who understands the company's vision and how the global marketing team contributes to it.
  • Experience leading and structuring global teams, with a passion for mentoring and encouraging new ways of thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills—clear and impactful in writing, speaking, and presenting.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills—able to build relationships, elevate teams, and engage stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience managing and onboarding vendors.
