Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled QA Engineer to join our team, specializing in API testing and automation. The ideal candidate will have experience in manual testing with opportunities to work on automation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality of our API and web-based applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform API testing (manual and automated) to ensure application reliability.
- Work on web testing in collaboration with the web team.
- Take ownership of automation tasks and contribute to automation testing frameworks.
- Write and execute test cases, perform debugging, and ensure quality standards.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Manage deployment processes using tools like Octopus and execute automated tests via TeamCity.
- Utilize JIRA for sprint management and issue tracking.
- Work with GitHub for version control, including branching and merging strategies.
- Query and manage databases using MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL (DBeaver).
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in API testing (manual & automation).
- Proficiency in C# and API automation frameworks like Reqnroll (SpecFlow).
- Hands-on experience with SQL querying and Entity Framework (EF) for database interactions.
- Familiarity with deployment tools (Octopus) and automation test execution (TeamCity).
- Experience with Git (GitHub) for version control and code management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for debugging issues through message flows.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Microservices, Unit Testing, Component Testing, and End-to-End (E2E) Testing.
- Familiarity with Lens (for viewing Docker images/logs) and Queue Explorer (for message queue debugging).
