Our company is looking for a Freelance Junior Graphic Designer to add to our nationwide team for a 4-month contract. New Home Star is the largest privately owned seller of new homes in America. As a member of our Graphic Design team, you have the opportunity to support our corporate office and our new home builder partners to sell more homes more profitably. Our Corporate Support Office is located in the heart of downtown Elmhurst and is not your typical “corporate” setting. Pay Structure & Benefits

• 25-30 hours/ week
• $17.50/hour
• 4-month contract
• Remote work and flexible schedule in the Central Time zone.

Requirements

New Home Star is seeking a motivated, educated, goal-oriented professional to join our team. If you fit the requirements below, you are an ideal match for this position!

• Proficient computer knowledge/skills (i.e., MS Office Suite such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred.

• History in working with collaborative teams.
• Exceptional proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Ability to create designs that build an emotional connection with clients.
• Capable of creating print, web, web banner, e-blast, and social media campaigns and collateral.
• Strong understanding of branding, most importantly the role that visual elements play.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Self-starter who constantly seeks out new ways to improve and advance our mission.
• Detail-obsessed; driven to produce the highest quality, as-pixel-perfect-as-possible work.
• Hunger to always be learning and improving skills.
• Background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Design
• Perform effectively as a member of the project team.
• Maintain collateral update requests for both web and print applications.
• Design marketing/sales assets for new marketing initiatives.
• Develop brand identities new home communities, builder clients, and new internal divisions.
• Research/Analysis/Evaluation
• Research and analyze appropriate design options for client requests.
• Work with Marketing Manager and Content Development associates.
• Evaluate and recommend subscription services and web tools.
• Keep current on website trends.
• Aid in the evaluation of marketing goals/successes.
• Administration
• Maintain workflow within our Project Management System.
• Attend weekly review/status meetings.
