Systems Analyst ( Backend JAVA DEVELOPER- Oracle/Postgresql

POSITION SUMMARY:Writes/modifies/debugs computer programswith minimal to no
supervision,of all levels of complexity from simple, medium to high level complexity.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, document, analyze, create,test and modify computer programs
  • Ability toindependentlytroubleshootreported programmingissues, provide solution and resolve the issues in timely manner.
  • Support and enhance existing IT Applications and services including but not limited to,new EDIrequirements, new client acquisitions, new business acquisitions, data interfaces implementations
  • Preparesand runsthe test plans as needed
  • Complete daily Departmental duties as assigned in atimely and professional manner
  • Monitors and troubleshoots system/application performance issueswith minimal to no supervision.
  • Work with geographically separated team on the application development, bugs fixing/enhancements, QA process and effectively communicate with them.
  • Other job related duties as assigned by manager

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • 4+ yearshands-onexperience with RDBMS–Oracle, MS SQL Server, Postgres
  • 4+ years’hands-onexperienceof JAVA programming language
  • Good knowledge of data structures, data exchange and data conversion
  • Knowledge of Internet/Intranet, client/server technologies.
  • Knowledge of Software development life cycle
  • Good organization skills, the ability to multi-task, and communicate withmanagement while simultaneously work with management and team
  • members to get the appropriate priority level assigned to meet strictdeadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication & presentation skills-effectivelypresent information and respond to questions from clients, vendors and staff; ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in an architectural/functional diagram
  • Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degreein related field (preferred); 3or more years of
related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
