Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Finance to join our Finance team. Reporting directly to the CFO, the VP of Finance will oversee Business Intelligence, FP&A, Treasury, and M&A functions. This role is pivotal in driving financial strategy, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and supporting our growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in private equity, particularly experience working within portfolio companies, and a proven track record in financial leadership within a global organization.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the FP&A team in developing accurate financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans.
  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Build out the new Business Intelligence function for the company
  • Collaborate with business units to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee cash flow management, liquidity planning, and capital structure optimization.
  • Manage banking relationships, debt financing, and investment strategies.
  • Monitor and report on financial covenants associated with debt agreements to ensure compliance and proactively address any potential breaches.
  • Identify, evaluate, and execute M&A opportunities aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Lead due diligence processes, financial modeling, and integration planning for acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful post-merger integration.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that support the company’s growth and profitability goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve high performance and professional growth.

 

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles.
  • Proven experience working with private equity firms and portfolio companies 
  • Demonstrated success in overseeing FP&A and experience with M&A
  • Experience in the Software or Life Sciences is highly desirable.
  • Ability to develop and implement financial strategies that drive business growth.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficient in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, financial modeling software); experience with Intacct and Anaplan a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong sense of integrity and commitment to maintaining high ethical standards.
