Summary of Job Duties:
The Front Desk Coordinator II [Access Coordinator II] position works under the supervision of the Access Coordinator Supervisor and/or Program Director. This position will be responsible for coordinating office activities for faculty and clinical providers which could include, but are not limited to: processing phone calls; checking patients in/out; scheduling; patient registration; and monitoring of time-sensitive patient records, such as referrals and consents. The Access Coordinator is expected to be able to assume the functions of additional front office employees, when back-up is needed and provide a high level of customer service. Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED plus 2 years customer service or healthcare experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to follow oral instructions, problem solving skills and multi-tasker, effective communication skills in both verbal and written.
Computer/basic keyboard skills, telephone etiquette skills, and general knowledge of office machines including printers and scanners required.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for answering the phone, greeting callers, establishing reason for calling, and resolving issue by contacting appropriate employee who can assist the caller.
- Interacts with and assists the public in a professional and friendly manner as needed.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills.
- Communicates accurate and complete information; maintains strict confidentiality when necessary.
- Demonstrates positive working relationships with co-workers, management team, and ancillary
departments; follows the Core Concepts of Patient and Family Centered Care and the Basic Code of
Conduct Guidelines. - Assist internal and external stakeholders as needed with exceptional customer
service. - Responsible for maintaining updated patient information, such as verifying demographic information;
scanning/indexing patient records into the EMR; taking patient photograph; obtaining signatures;
notifying the clinician(s) when patient registration is complete; canceling, scheduling, &/or re-scheduling patients. - Logs arrival and discharge from the clinic into the EMR.
- Assume the functions of additional front office employees, when back-up is needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
