About the Role
LexisNexis Canada is looking for a Marketing Lead (Maternity Leave) for our Law School Preference program, responsible for driving awareness and preference for our legal information services among Canadian law school students. The Marketing Lead will direct a team of 15 law student associates during the academic year and work closely with our marketing, product and training teams to execute and refine marketing campaigns leveraging digital channels (web, email, social media) and in-person events. This is a one-year maternity leave contract for a primarily Toronto home-based position.
Responsibilities:
Refine and execute marketing programs designed to drive LexisNexis awareness and preference among Canadian law schools and law students.
Direct a team of 15 law student associates cross Canada. Assign and monitor their weekly assignments and projects during the academic year.
Create digital marketing campaigns, develop and maintain our social media calendar, and coordinate sponsorships and events.
Manage and grow the LexisNexis law student loyalty program by utilizing best practices, adoption strategies, and working with external vendors.
Manage the procurement, coordination, and packaging of merchandise shipments to contractors and student associations.
Develop and maintain relationships with law school students, faculty and related associations.
Conduct surveys to assess program effectiveness.
Provide insight for new campaigns and programs based on awareness of needs and trends in the law school market.
Partner with sales and training teams to assist with customer relationships and user success.
Qualifications:
3+ yrs. of technical and professional experience in marketing
Practical knowledge of marketing strategy, digital marketing and social media campaigns
Demonstrated creativity, business acumen, strategic planning and quantitative analytical abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills with people of diverse backgrounds and professional functions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred qualifications:
Legal industry or academic sector experience strongly preferred
Marketing professional qualifications are considered an asset
Familiarity with Pardot or comparable marketing automation platforms
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French are an asset but not required.
