Job description

Manage, maintain, and monitor DBMS in AWS (RDS and EC2).
Manage, maintain, and monitor Linux DBMS in on premise data center (DB2 and MySQL).
Conduce routine audits of DBMS systems.
Optimize and tune DBMS systems.
Track and report system performance using relevant monitoring tools.
Implement automation scripting AWS (CLI, Terraform, Ansible).
Ensure data security by safeguarding databases against unauthorized access, damage, or modifications.
Support and maintain backup/recovery strategies using AWS Backup, S3, and AWS Backup Vaults.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Development, Client Support, and other internal departments.
Maintain database security policies and ensure compliance with best practices.
Ensure high availability and reliability of database systems supporting mission-critical applications.
Ensure routine maintenance operations are performed on critical DBMS systems.
Respond to support requests via Jira in a timely and effective manner.
Participate in on-call rotation to provide operational database support.
