Position Description:
XPRIZE offers a meaningful part-time, remote, summer internship program spanning from June 9, 2025 - August 15, 2025 to undergraduate or graduate students looking to gain work experience in an exciting non-profit organization. Interns will participate in virtual social activities with their cohort, be provided with learning and professional development opportunities, and present a final research project to their department.

The XPRIZE Partnerships & Impact team is seeking a detail-oriented and organized intern to work on a Salesforce data validation project. Over 10 weeks, the intern will assist with conducting a survey to collect demographic data, updating Salesforce records for individuals and organizations, and validating critical information through online research. This role provides hands-on experience with CRM tools, survey implementation, and data management while contributing to a meaningful initiative to improve data accuracy and usability.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Survey Development and Distribution:
    • Draft and finalize a survey to collect demographic and contact information.
    • Support the distribution of the survey in Mailchimp.
    • Monitor survey responses and send reminders to maximize participation.
    • Analyze survey responses and integrate data into Salesforce.
  • Team Record Updates
    • Update key fields in Salesforce records.
    • Ensure consistent and accurate categorization of all team records.
  • Organizational Data Validation
    • Validate and update information for key records. 
    • Conduct online research using platforms such as LinkedIn, Pitchbook, and company websites.
    • Flag unresolved records for further review or follow-up.
  • Reporting and Recommendations:
    • Prepare a final report summarizing survey results, progress on data validation, and recommendations for maintaining updated records.
    • Participate in a project debrief with the supervisor to discuss outcomes and insights.
 

Key Milestones:

  • Week 1: Complete onboarding, finalize the survey, and develop a communication plan for distribution.
  • Weeks 2–3: Distribute the survey and update team records for the target group.
  • Weeks 4–5: Integrate survey responses and validate key records.
  • Weeks 6–8: Address gaps in data and validate remaining records.
  • Weeks 9–10: Finalize all updates, prepare the project report, and present findings.
 

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM tools (preferred but not required).
  • Experience with survey tools like Airtable or Google Forms.
  • Ability to conduct online research using platforms like LinkedIn and Pitchbook.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interest in data management, project coordination, or CRM systems.
  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program or higher in a related field.
  • Availability to work from 9:00am-1:00pm PST Monday-Friday for the duration of the 10-week program.

The anticipated compensation for this position is $18/hour to $22/hour. The actual compensation offered will depend on a variety of factors including the qualifications of the individual applicant, years of relevant experience for the role, level of education attained, and certifications and/or other licenses held. XPRIZE is a remote-first environment.
