Role Summary/Purpose:

Reporting to the EVP & CEO – Lifestyle, the SVP, GM – Lifestyle Markets is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of client relationships and performance for a distributed group of retailers and partners in the small to medium-sized space and fragmented markets within the Lifestyle platform. This strategic and highly visible role requires an energetic, passionate leader with demonstrated ability to drive growth and change via a balanced focus on customers, people, process, and innovation. This leader will lead a team of General Managers and Relationship Managers and partner cross-functionally to drive profitable growth in relevant markets.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional team in the development and implementation of key strategies required to drive market penetration and growth in relevant retail market segments

  • Partner with cross-functional team to lead wing-to-wing client conversion process and the development and implementation of key strategies required to drive market penetration and growth for new confidential client

  • Develop, execute, and effectively communicate detailed client profitability and growth strategies 

  • Own execution of a comprehensive sales force effectiveness plans needed to execute detailed business growth strategies

  • Partner with Marketing team to develop and execute an effective market focused partner messaging and communication strategy

  • Drive professional development, mentoring and coaching of sales team direct reports

  • Lead contract administration, deal renewal, budgeting and forecasting process for assigned business portfolio 

  • Provide leadership to ensure adherence with all external and internal Compliance and Regulatory requirements

  • Establish strong working business relationship with clients and key industry contacts

  • Support business wide initiatives as needed

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of progressive client relationship management/ sales experience, or in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, a high school diploma / GED and 14+ years of progressive client relationship management/ sales.

  • 7 years+ Client Development or Client Relationship Management experience managing private label and co-brand portfolios, distributed partners and/or industry groups at the senior level

  • 5 years+ People Management experience including experience leading in a matrixed environment.

  • 5 years+ experience leading/closing contract negotiations, competitive pricing, business planning and P&L management.

  • Strong overall knowledge of card business including risk, collections, operations, marketing and finance

  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time

  • Proven ability to work independently yet operate as key member and contributor to a broader team

  • Demonstrated clear thinker with a proven track of being able to develop, articulate and execute a clear growth oriented vision and strategy for an assigned business segments

  • Experience leading enterprise wide, multi-million dollar business launches with positive year over year results

Grade/Level: 16

The salary range for this position is 220,000.00 - 370,000.00 USD Annual.  This position is also eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan target of 30% of salary and an Annual Equity target of 30% of salary.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
