Our Newest Opportunity: 

The Vendor Portfolio Manager ensures effective vendor sourcing, selection, and evaluation to align with organizational goals. This role collaborates with internal stakeholders to manage vendor relationships, resolve service conflicts across vendors, consolidate contracts, and reduce unnecessary spending. Responsibilities include driving process improvements, fostering vendor engagement, overseeing team activities, and delivering data-driven recommendations for strategic decisions.  

Ideal candidates bring a strong blend of strategic oversight, vendor management expertise, and leadership capabilities. They excel in analytical problem-solving, process optimization, and fostering effective communication across teams and with external partners. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): 

  • Initiate and lead the National Vendor Operations team – guiding the development of goals, training and KPIs 

  • Identify business needs related to vendor operations and develop actionable plans to address them while adhering to organizational objectives 

  • Negotiate vendor agreements in partnership with internal stakeholders and negotiating partners.  

  • Identify and support the mitigation of risks alongside the internal parties such as IT and Legal. 

  • Foster collaborative relationships with vendors, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and long-term objectives. 

  • Collaborate with IT, Legal, Finance, M&A and other departments to nationalize contracts across offices, streamline workflows, and resolve service offering conflicts.  

  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for vendor operations to ensure consistency and alignment across offices. 

  • Conduct research and audits to identify internal vendor management inefficiencies and implement process improvements. 

  • Oversee vendor lifecycle activities, including sourcing, selection, renewal, and consolidation, to align with company goals.  

  • Analyze spending trends to identify and mitigate unnecessary costs, contributing to overall financial efficiency.  

  • Provide insights through reports and presentations to inform decision-making.  

 

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 

  • 4–5 years of experience in vendor management or a related field, preferably within a large, multi-location company or one with significant M&A activity. 

  • Experience working in a procurement team or possessing a comprehensive understanding of vendor management practices and contract lifecycle management and the ability to establish and mature them from the ground up. 

  • Proven experience in process optimization and driving cost efficiencies. 

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors. 

  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently while being highly collaborative. 

  • Familiarity with Vendor Management Systems (VMS) e.g. LogicManager, accounting systems, project planning solutions (e.g. Smartsheet) and data analysis tools such as Excel or Power BI. 

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple efforts simultaneously. 

  • Experience supervising or mentoring team members, fostering professional growth and development. 

  • Ready to take on the challenge of establishing and maturing OneDigital’s vendor management and procurement processes. 

Base Pay Range: $90,000-95,000

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.  We also offer eligible employees health, wellbeing, retirement, and other financial benefits, paid time off, overtime pay for non-exempt employees, and robust learning and development programs.
