Job description

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Compensation Analyst within our Global Human Resources team to help support our business.  As a global-diversified manufacturing company, it’s sometimes hard to explain all the different things we do.  We like to say, “we’re the biggest company no one has ever heard of.”  We are confident you interact with one of our products in your daily life without knowing it.  Whether it’s the mattress you sleep on, the car you drive, the plane you fly on, or the furniture you sit on, our high-quality components are there supporting you.  If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.

As a Compensation Analyst you will have the opportunity to partner with HR teams to provide support on compensation and benefits related topics.  Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by ensuring compensation programs are aligned and maintained within the global job and compensation framework. We have a strong preference for candidates in the Central or East Coast Regions.

So, what will you be doing as a Compensation Analyst?

  • Serve as contact for consulting on compensation policies, programs, and procedures focused on North America
  • Work closely with the compensation team to ensure the global compensation philosophy is consistently applied and executed across the company
  • Participate in annual compensation related survey submissions (policies, market pay, incentives, salary budget, etc.)
  • Conduct market research and periodic reviews of the compensation framework, including evaluating and benchmarking jobs, providing recommendations for compensation and incentive levels, and reviewing overall market competitiveness
  • Partner with HR to ensure consistent and standardized compensation practices are maintained throughout business units and regions
  • Assist the HR technology team in maintaining accurate employee and job information/data used for HR reporting and processes
  • Work closely with other subject matter experts on global projects related to compensation and HR initiatives, including process improvement opportunities in supporting Leggett’s HR and business strategy
  • Support HR technology processes related to compensation policies
  • Develop appropriate user documentation and training materials for compensation policies and systems

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field of study
  • At least 3-5 years’ professional experience in an HR function or analytical environment
  • Knowledge of compensation and benefit practices
  • Prior experience working with HR systems preferred
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • General working knowledge of other HR disciplines
