About the Role
We’re looking for a Retention & Email Marketing Manager to elevate our email and retention strategies. With email as one of our core channels, this role will oversee the strategic development and day-to-day execution of email marketing initiatives, driving customer engagement and loyalty.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and detail-oriented, skilled in both crafting strategies and executing campaigns that have measurable impact. You’ll be instrumental in growing customer retention and engagement across email and SMS, working with our talented retention marketing team to bring our vision to life.

Key Responsibilities:
Email Marketing & Retention Strategy: Contribute to developing customer journeys and retention strategies for our existing UK market alongside new market opportunities.
Campaign Development: Lead and execute email campaigns, including automated lifecycle and broadcast campaigns, to drive engagement and ROI.
Content Coordination: Collaborate with the Content team to create and manage the email content calendar.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Content, Creative, Legal, and Commercial teams to ensure timely approval and delivery of campaign assets.
Campaign Execution: Build and test email campaigns, including newsletters and promotions, using our ESP (Customer.io).
Audience Targeting & Segmentation: Use data-driven insights to target and segment audiences effectively.
Campaign Analysis: Analyse and report on campaign performance weekly and monthly, providing recommendations for optimisation.
Retention Initiatives: Partner with Marketing and Product teams to support retention initiatives, including segmentation, automation, and lifecycle campaigns.
Experience and Qualifications:
3-4 Years of Experience in email marketing or marketing automation, with hands-on experience in HTML/CSS or drag-and-drop email editors.
ESP Proficiency: Familiar with platforms like Customer.io or similar platforms
Analytical Mindset: Comfortable analysing data in Excel, Lightdash, Tableau, or Looker to track performance and optimise campaigns.
A/B Testing: Experience with A/B testing to improve key engagement metrics.
Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills in English.
Nice to have:
- A second language in Spanish or Italian in addition to English.
- Understanding of email deliverability and lifecycle marketing principles.
- Background in CRM-focused programs for onboarding, retaining, and re-engaging customers.
- Passion for automation and omnichannel marketing.
- Interest in emerging digital marketing trends.
- Comfortable with fast-changing environment and ability to adapt
