Job description

We are working with an innovative fitness company that is dedicated to empowering women in functional fitness at every stage of life. As they expand their programming to better support women’s performance, hormone health, and longevity, they are looking for a highly skilled Online Fitness Programmer to join their team.

This role will focus on designing and delivering expert-led, evidence-based training plans via the FITR platform, with a particular emphasis on supporting women trying to conceive and peri/menopausal women (40+). If you have a deep understanding of female physiology, performance, and strength training methodologies, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of women’s fitness.

● Compensation: £1750/ month
● Fully Remote

Time Commitment:

  • Months 1 and 2: Approximately three full days per week (programme set-up)
  • Ongoing: Approximately one to two days per week (depending on efficiency)

Timeline:

  • February–March 2025: Programme planning, design, and first-stage builds (two months of programming).
  • April–May 2025: Testing, refining UX/workflows, developing resources, and marketing platform.
  • June 2025: Official launch with continued programming.
The Role:
Programme Design & Delivery:
    • Develop two structured training tracks for upcoming programmes:
      • FORM – A performance-driven programme designed to support women’s hormonal health while maintaining intensity.
      • FLY – A strength and longevity programme tailored for peri/menopausal women (40+).
    • Provide two variations for each programme:
      • Full Gym Equipment option
      • Minimal Kit option
    • Design five training days per week, including:
      • Strength and accessory work
      • ‘Reward’ (WOD-style workout)
      • Simple warm-ups and stretches
      • One mono-structural sprint interval session per week
    • Ensure all programming aligns with female physiology and long-term health, including:
      • Menstrual cycle training principles
      • Energy availability and RED-S in athletic women
      • Adaptations for peri/menopause (bone density, endocrine health, recovery)
    • Create short, engaging daily video intros (maximum two minutes) explaining session focus and adaptations.
    • Work one to two months ahead on programming to ensure a seamless rollout.
    Brand Representation & Client Engagement:
    • Act as a Product Specialist with your name and bio featured on our website.
    • Potential for one-on-one client consultations (to be discussed).
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to provide expert insights for:
      • Social media content (grid posts, Facebook, email campaigns)
      • Monthly strategy sessions (one to two hours) or quarterly planning meetings
The Person:
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Proven expertise in women’s health and training, specifically:
    • Menstrual cycle physiology and hormone fluctuations
    • Strength training for peri/menopausal women
    • Performance-focused programming for female athletes
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in female physiology, performance, or coaching.
  • Strong research background with a passion for staying ahead of emerging science in women’s fitness.
Skills & Characteristics:
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, capable of planning multi-phase training cycles in advance.
  • Confident on camera, delivering concise, engaging intro videos.
  • Clear, effective communicator, able to simplify complex training concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Team player with a can-do attitude, comfortable in a fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently while contributing to a shared vision.
