Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits currently seeks a Supply Chain Specialist to join our Supply Chain team. This role offers a high degree of flexibility between working remotely and working in our Stamford, CT headquarters on an as-needed basis. The Supply Chain Specialist will oversee all aspects of order processing and work to improve efficiency where possible and align with the goals.  This Specialist will represent the company in a positive and efficient manner, while working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment and accomplish Supply Chain departmental/individual objectives by measuring metrics; evaluating and improving methods; making and implementing required changes.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Communicating regularly and professionally
  • Researching and answering questions related to inventory, order processing, logistic charges, etc.
  • Accurately receiving purchase orders in ERP system (JDE)
  • Processing orders for sales, purchases, gift baskets, invoices and credits
  • Review carrier documentation for ocean shipments and ensure accurate processing
  • Generate required reports and send them according to the schedule
  • Perform all aspects of month end inventory reconciliation
  • Review all warehouse inventory adjustments and ensure sync with JDE
  • Identifying and communicating issues with team
  • Following up ensure timely resolution, especially during month-end close
  • Identify and pre-empt issues to resolve at the time of entering
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with key members of other departments
  • Managing inventory reconciliation and identifying discrepancy root cause
  • Review and address pricing discrepancies for purchase orders with suppliers
  • Transfer Orders/ Purchase orders
  • Bailment purchase order entry/management & consumption processing
  • Item Master responsibilities

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience or training in a service industry specializing in meeting customer demands and organizing multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written skills for communication with partners, peers, and managers
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (strong Excel skills a plus)
  • Detail Oriented
  • Ability to exercise judgment & recommend solutions
  • Ability to research & interpret information
  • Independent thinker who can deliver day-to-day tasks and pivot as needed
  • Ability to plan and organize heavy workload and work within tight deadlines
  • Ability to flourish in a team-oriented environment
