Job description

Smart Distribution is a leading distribution company that specializes in managing and optimizing supply chains for businesses across various industries. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Assistant to join our team.

As a Supply Chain Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our supply chain operations, ensuring effective and efficient flow of products from suppliers to customers. You will assist in coordinating and monitoring the movement of goods, managing inventory levels, and maintaining accurate records.


Responsibilities
  • Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and conducting regular audits
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Process purchase orders and track shipments
  • Manage and update product information in the system
  • Support the planning and scheduling of transportation
  • Assist in analyzing and reporting on supply chain performance metrics
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend process enhancements
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of supply chain activities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field preferred
  • Prior experience in a supply chain or logistics role is a plus
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices
  • Proficient in using supply chain management software and tools
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Basic understanding of inventory management principles
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
