JOB SUMMARY
 
Seeking a highly talented and results-oriented senior level finance professional to manage the MCR SCOE $500M+ Opex budget. This position will serve as a direct reference and knowledge expert for all things finance related in support of 4 operating business units.
Finance/Accounting
• Month end Close- Lead the month-end close process; Expense (AP) tracking, accrual bookings and variance commentary.
• Quarterly Reforecast & Annual Planning - Consults with various Sales Leaders to ensure all cost centers are adequately funded in accordance with rate/volume/strategic changes.
• Administrative Management- Acts as the liaison between External Vendors, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Accounting and (SCOE) Operations.
 
Project work
• Investment Business Cases- Support internal stakeholders in the development and review of annual business cases. Validates cost and benefits for accuracy and or reasonableness.
• Special Projects- SCOE Finance POC as needed.
  
 
Duties
 
• Month end Close- Lead the month-end close process; Expense (AP) tracking, accrual bookings and variance commentary.

Data Analytics and Reporting
• Month-end & Quarter-end Reporting- Analyze, explain, and present performance results to external vendors and internal team. Identifies trends and advises Senior Management on matters affecting budget needs and or cost saving opportunities.
• Financial Modeling- Provides oversight of existing financial models and dashboards; works to continuously underwrite the quality of that reporting and its sources of data. Proactive about implementing new and or enhancing current expense business models to help guide future decisions.
• Adhoc Request- Provides research and analytical support to internal customers including, but not limited to financial analysis and data analysis.

Project work
 
• Investment Business Cases- Support internal stakeholders in the development and review of annual business cases. Validates cost and benefits for accuracy and or reasonableness.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
 
• 10 years of experience in Accounting & Finance (accrual accounting)
• 8 years of experience managing large budgets +$100M
• 8 years of experience supporting senior level leadership
• 8 years of experience performing data analytics
• 8 years of experience reporting financial results to internal stakeholders (budget vs actual variances)
• 8+ years advance Excel experience
• Good written and verbal communication skills (Confident storyteller)
• Technically savvy (advanced excel modeling skills)
• Good Business Acumen (understands GAAP Accounting/best practices)

 Ability to sit for 7-10 hours per day and work extended hours as needed. Some bending, stretching or reaching and the ability to lift 25lbs are required. Ability to see and read fine prints.  Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Requires ability to perform data entry functions for 95% of the scheduled work shift and perform duties in a fast-paced environment with high demands and tight deadlines. Requires ability to view computer monitor for long periods of time without eyestrain.
