The Senior/Director of Marketing role provides critical leadership and creates and directs the commercial execution of all marketing programs for the Surgical Solutions Business.
What you'll be doing

  • Spearhead development and execution of effective strategic marketing plans for all product and market segments for the Surgical Business - leading to continued profitable growth.
  • Develop updated Value Proposition and drive rebranding projects for the Surgical portfolio
  • Monitor, track, and incorporate competitive insights and strategic intent.
  • Launch new products for the Surgical business and ensure Launch Excellence is maintained for all new products being introduced in the market
  • Lead Regional KOL strategy and development of relationships with industry thought leaders
  • Partners with the heads of Sales, Operations, Training, RA/CA, Quality and other associated departments to develop and integrate marketing messaging and communications
  • Drive actions to support cross functional attainment of financial goals: revenue growth, market share, operating margin, and sales plan commitments
  • Drives the Surgical medical education strategy for physicians and sales professionals, in partnership with Training & Med Ed/Prof Ed Departments
  • Holds oneself and others accountable to conduct business in a manner compliant with Bioventus’ Code of Compliance and Ethics, policies and procedures and internal controls applicable to their role.
  • Attract, develop and retain talent.  Ensure focus and alignment with functional and company goals.  Provide employees with continuous feedback and coaching using talent-and-performance management tools.
  • Develop and track performance metrics and report on trends and insights with solutions
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you'll bring to the table
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Finance required. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years’ Medical Device Marketing and Sales Leadership or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience launching multiple products in the medical device space, specifically with surgical products, experience in Spine/Orthopedics preferred
  • Experience working with direct and distributor sales teams
  • Ability to travel globally at minimum 50% of the time
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Competent use of MS Office and other applications as required
