Are you passionate about transforming scientific discoveries into meaningful therapies for patients? We are looking for a thoughtful, creative, and experienced drug hunter to lead the team in optimizing nature's chemistry through in vitro and in vivo assays for indications related to inflammation and immunology. You will also have wide-ranging responsibilities and opportunities within a dynamic, interdisciplinary, and collaborative team.
As a member of the Pipeline team, you will report to the Head of Research and Development.
You get to collaborate on:Contribute as the scientific and drug discovery expert on early discovery programs related to immunological (including dermatological, gut, and neurological inflammatory diseases) and metabolic indications.Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in multiple geographies to design and implement drug discovery workflows for lead optimization for hits identified from our platform.Work with Business Development, Portfolio Strategy, and Clinical teams to identify important program requirements (eg. benchmarks, differentiators, MOA, target validation and secondary assays/in vivo models, etc.).Communicate the status of projects, challenges, results, and proposed paths forward across partners, teams, and time zones.Identify and lead the team in troubleshooting any impediments of the program.Participate in cross-functional team activities, provide training support for a growing team of scientists to help us grow our uniquely experienced team.Who will thrive in this role?PhD/MD with Postdoc or equivalent area focusDeep working knowledge in assay development, cell biology and signal transduction pathways in inflammatory and metabolic diseasesDemonstrated experience leading diverse projects, including delivery of impactful outcomes.Proven ability to clearly articulate scientific findings and project updates to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical team members.10+ years Experience in drug development industry is desirable5+ years Experience leading a cross functional teamIf you don't meet all of the requirements listed here, we still encourage you to apply.
