The Global Alliance Director for EMEA Region is responsible for all aspects of our EMEA Region partnership, including developing the partnership strategy and delivering new business to Veeam through a joint go-to-market with EMEA Region. In this role, you’ll get the opportunity to develop the regional strategy, define the goals, create strategic initiatives, and then execute, using your business development, sales, and relationship skills. Driving and accelerating Veeam’s growth with EMEA Region is the primary function of this position, and you will engage closely with both Veeam and EMEA Region executives, sales, pre-sales, and channel teams, product management, and alliance marketing. This role will work closely with the other Global Directors and will prioritize our strategic partnerships for the EMEA region.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute an annual business plan with EMEA Region that accelerates revenue and new customer growth.
  • Strategic Partnership Development: Collaborate with EMEA Region and Global Directors to develop the partnership, explore and identify innovative areas of collaboration that align with organizational goals, and enhance the partnership's overall leadership.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to understand emerging trends, ensuring that our partnership with EMEA Region remains competitive and forward-thinking.
  • Business Development: Own and ensure the execution of the EMEA Region Business Plan with EMEA Region through the enablement of the GEOs, Alliance partners, and field. Implement robust risk assessment frameworks in collaboration with EMEA Region to identify business status and develop proactive strategies to mitigate potential market and business changes.
  • Collaboration and Engagement: Foster strong relationships with EMEA Region representatives and internal stakeholders to facilitate knowledge sharing, training, and joint initiatives that promote best practices in jointly designed solutions. Work closely with the EMEA Region Business Unit, Geos, Marketing, and channel teams to develop structured plans to be deployed Globally.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives that implement cutting-edge EMEA Region–Veeam solutions and explore areas of collaboration.
  • Training and Development: Organize training sessions and workshops for staff to elevate awareness and Veeam skills within EMEA Region.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators to measure the impact of the EMEA Region partnership.
  • Integration and Implementation: Lead efforts to integrate Veeam software products into EMEA Region products, solutions, and offerings.
  • Ensure we build relationships at the highest level within EMEA Region to drive alignment and commitment to the partnership.  Drive peer-to-peer alignment between the Veeam and the EMEA Region teams. Build senior executive champions to drive change and overcome hurdles. Drive Veeam mindshare within EMEA Region through regular communication (win stories, etc.) and relationship cadence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent time in the workforce
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in global alliance management or leadership with direct experience of managing EMEA Region GSI’s
  • At least 8 years of experience working for or with EMEA Region, where you understand how EMEA Region works and with established contacts and relationships with key executives at EMEA Region. Priority will be prior experience managing GSI’s like Capgemini, Accenture, TCS and Wipro
  • Proven experience in management and control alliance investments to drive pipeline generation initiatives as part of the business plan (Sales Incremental Funds, MDF, POE)
  • Proven track record of developing EMEA Region into a strategic global alliance partner.
