What you’ll do:
Research lead identification, bid organisation, and management of the bid process and contract administration.
Map all prospective Government agencies where the company might seek New Business. Focus for this role will be Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, India and Philippines.
Develop and implement a strategic plan for government sales management and growth.
Work collaboratively with Product to ensure we can service Government needs.
Prepare RFP’s and Bid Responses for Government opportunities.
Develop deep relationships with government acquisition personnel and buyers.
Creation and maintenance of proposal and contract documents relative to government procurement schedules, projects, and contracts; including preparation of responses to solicitations in the form of proposals and quotations.
Management of the government business opportunity pipeline and tracking the status of proposal development with internal teams to ensure submittal deadlines are met.
Generate and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
Participate in continuous learning activities and involvement in a variety of projects related to Government Sales and improvement.
Ultimately be responsible for overall growth and expansion in Federal business – within existing contracts and gaining new contracts.
You are or have...
At least 5 - 10 years experience in a Sales (New Business and Business Development) role, selling SaaS/tech/data specifically in the Government/Public Sector (MUST HAVE)
Significant experience generating brand-new business sales opportunities
Driven and self-disciplined. You can work in autonomy without much guidance and thrive in unstructured, fast-paced, ever-changing environments
A team player who always puts the business first with an eye on maximising you and your team's long-term gains
Strong sales negotiation and sales closing skills
Excellent customer service, listening, and negotiation skills
Ability to analyse complex client requirements and needs
Great attitude and motivation, hunter mindset
