What can you expect in a “Compliance Manager” role with TaskUs: 

The Senior Compliance Manager is responsible for managing operational compliance, strategically planning, and leading all operations regulatory compliance, auditing, and accreditation activity related to current and future state. This role is responsible for the monitoring of policies and procedures, confirming the required mandatory training is completed, and continuously monitoring laws, regulations, standards, and contractual requirements to ensure compliance. This role is actively involved in risk mitigation to ensure that potential issues are identified and plans to mitigate risk are robust. This role supports the Compliance Director in helping ensure activities comply with government regulations, contractual commitments, ethical standards, and TaskUs policies and values.

Key Accountabilities & Deliverables 

  • Work and collaborate with multiple teams to establish, implement, and monitor compliance programs and activities per client and TaskUs requirements and applicable laws and regulations

  • Organizes, monitors, and creates policies and procedures to support operational compliance and policy management.

  • Provides leadership for operational audits, reviews final client responses, and approves the release of documents.

  • Ability to maintain a good working relationship with clients, auditors, department stakeholders, and internal team members

  • Perform and complete audits to meet client, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. Isolate potential risks or liabilities and develop mitigation plans

  • Provide timely assessment on contractual, financial, or legal implications of changing policies or practices that might lead to non-compliance

  • Work with other departments to effectively and efficiently address non-compliance issues

  • Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies

  • Prepare compliance reports as needed

  • Provides input to senior leadership and management teams on business operations relating to investment, risks, and policy development where necessary 

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a regulatory compliance, accreditation role; at least two of those years focused on contractual compliance

  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership position with direct responsibility for managing staff.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA, Waste, Fraud, and Abuse, FCA, PCI DSS, ISO 2700x, ISO 223001, SOC 2, SOX, and Data Protection

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective cross-function collaboration

  • Strong Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

  • Outstanding analytical skills and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to handle private, sensitive, and confidential information appropriately

  • Solid research and interviewing skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within established deadlines

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years working in a highly regulated industry, such as healthcare and fintech

  • Demonstrated leadership ability

  • Ability to take criticism positively and drive process improvement

  • Self-starter with the acumen to build relationships across the organization 

  • Strong work ethic

  • Ability and willingness to work flexible, non-standard hours to support compliance in multiple international locations.
