Your role in the Team
- As a Senior Messaging Operations Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the seamless integration, stability, and performance of our messaging platforms, primarily Kafka, with secondary AMQ. You’ll work in a DevOps environment, collaborating closely with development and operations teams.
What you’ll do
- Provide operational support for Kafka and AMQ messaging systems, including troubleshooting and performance optimization.
- Take ownership of incident detection, diagnosis, and resolution, ensuring timely service restoration.
- Design, implement, and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform for messaging services and related infrastructure.
- Support cloud-based environments (AWS, GCP), optimizing scalability and performance.
- Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively detect issues in the messaging pipeline.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues related to messaging systems and cloud environments.
- Develop scripts (Bash, Python) to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for messaging integration and operational excellence.
- Document procedures and share knowledge within the team.

What you’ll need
- 8+ years of experience
- Experience with Kafka (primary) and AMQ (secondary).
- Expertise in cloud environments (AWS, GCP).
- Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.).
- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Good to Have API Experience.
