Sales Agent - Remote within Nevada and Arizona
Working under close supervision, the Sales Agent I supports Wawanesa's growth and profitability by generating new business. This job is responsible for interfacing with potential customers in a call center environment or in person, in order to sell insurance, explain various insurance policies, and help clients choose coverage that most appropriately fits their needs.
Schedule
Training Schedule:
- Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm Pacific Time
Regular Schedule:
- Monday - Friday, 11:15 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. Pacific Time
- Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pacific Time
- Split days off: One day off during the week and one day off during the weekend
- Schedule based on a 37.5 work week (subject to change based on business needs)
Job Duties
- Generate new business by interfacing with potential customers over the phone to sell, upsell, and promote insurance services offered, and also answer future business inquiries.
- Process new business from quote to policy issuance.
- Review potential business in order to determine eligibility and approve coverage.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
- Provide superior customer service by establishing and maintaining customer relationships to facilitate future selling opportunities.
- Achieve production sales goals in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- College Degree or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
- Ability to negotiate to win/win results while focusing on the quality of the transaction.
- Good decision making skills in complex and high pressure situations.
- Good verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to identify an issue, determine resolution and complete action as required.
- Strong ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Good organizational & time management skills.
- Sales, marketing, or customer service experience would be considered an asset.
- Current Fire and Casualty Broker-Agent or Personal Lines Broker-Agent license would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of multiple personal lines insurance products, coverages, and insurance guidelines would be considered an asset.
- In order to work the Spanish-speaking queue, fluency in Spanish is required.
- Prior personal lines insurance sales experience and completion of insurance courses preferred.
Compensation: Depends on experience and varies by location.
Arizona Compensation:
- The pay range for this position is $19.05 - $25.78 per hour, depending on experience.
- This position is considered non-exempt for purposes of wage-hour law, which means you are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek.
Nevada Compensation:
- The pay range for this position is $20.01 - $27.07 per hour, depending on experience.
- This position is considered non-exempt for purposes of wage-hour law, which means you are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek.
