Senior Data Scientist

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to help our customers integrate and develop advanced recommendation and predictive models using our platform. You’ll be responsible for connecting diverse data sources, experimenting with cutting-edge machine learning methods, and ensuring that our customers successfully leverage data science to meet their business goals.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll work closely with a wide range of stakeholders—both internal and external—to tackle ranking and personalization challenges. You’ll also play a vital role in guiding our product direction and fostering an innovative, inclusive engineering culture.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in designing, deploying, and managing recommendation or predictive models in production
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s or PhD a plus)
• 3+ years of industry experience in software engineering, data science, or solutions architecture roles
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Enthusiasm for solving complex problems, unblocking issues for customers, and embracing a “wear many hats” startup environment
• Solid understanding of mathematics, statistics, and algorithms
• Thrives in fast-paced, small-team settings
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Master our platform’s features and capabilities to become a subject matter expert
• Design and iterate on recommendation and discovery models for our customers’ use cases
• Rapidly analyze data and identify performance optimization opportunities
• Experiment with state-of-the-art pretrained models (image, language, audio, video) to enhance discovery and personalization
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with customers’ technical teams and leadership to ensure successful, long-term partnerships
• Deliver technical demos to highlight our platform’s capabilities
• Proactively communicate project timelines, updates, and next steps to internal teams and customers
