Job description

HubSpot’s Legal & Compliance team serves as a key building block for our company, supporting the growth and development objectives of the business.  Our team supports all areas of the business, including employee growth, product development, sales and services, mergers & acquisitions, data privacy and compliance, and more!  To drive growth and innovation, we are looking for a curious and proactive operations professional who is passionate about achieving operational excellence within our Legal Operations team.

A primary responsibility of the team as we support HubSpot through this period of growth is to drive a technology roadmap that solves for our most critical scaling pain points.  As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, Legal Operations joining our team you’ll be responsible for implementing and supporting core technologies, building and improving processes, and leveraging data to help inform decisions that will solve for scale without sacrificing user experience.  You will drive initiatives that solve for our customers, our business, and our team. You will work closely with teams to deeply understand business challenges and develop solutions, and you will partner closely with our Employee Technology, Sales, Finance, and FinTech stakeholders to ensure we’re solving for the end to end experience.  Additionally, you’ll help to support the day to day operations of our Legal & Compliance organization.

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Help lay the groundwork for how a technology first Legal Operations team can support a SaaS company during a period of hypergrowth.
  • Monitor industry trends to identify opportunities for leveraging AI and other emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation. 
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams across the business to determine right sized solutions for some of our biggest opportunities.
  • Become the SME on a few specific systems: fully understand the business use case, challenges, and systems configuration as well as how it fits into our broader systems landscape.
  • Lead efforts in integrating various systems and platforms to enhance interoperability and streamline operations. 
  • Scope, implement and scale best in class legal technologies
  • Enable data driven insights by making data more accessible, developing and reporting on key performance indicators.
  • Show your impact with clear metrics and results derived from work you’ve done to build a self-service culture around automation and enablement

We are looking for people who:

  • Have a deep understanding of contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems, document operations, and enterprise service management tools. 
  • Have an eye for identifying overly complex processes and developing simple and scalable alternatives using technologies like webhooks and iPaaS (Workato expertise a plus)
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
  • Can sift through the business requirements to identify the most impactful solutions.
  • Have a working knowledge of SQL and are comfortable with data.
  • Can work cross functionally to understand business processes, and experience implementing enterprise software solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to negotiate, influence and gain consensus with strong interpersonal skills 
  • Are passionate about collaboration and effective communication across the business.
  • Thrive on organization, effective communication, impactful project management and autonomy.




Cash compensation range: 115400-184600 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
