Job description

Nimble Giant Entertainment is looking for a full-time VFX Artist responsible for creating visually stunning effects. 

Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality visual effects using the Niagara VFX System.
  • Handle all aspects of VFX production, including texture creation, texture atlases, 3D models, shaders, animations, and simulations.
  • Import and customize effects in Unreal Engine 5.
  • Solve technical problems from an artist’s perspective.
  • Develop and maintain shader code.
  • Produce stunning VFX, shaders, and post-process effects to enhance the game’s visual quality.
  • Contribute to pipeline improvements as part of the team.
  • Continuously explore new software and techniques to develop innovative solutions.

Requirements 

  • A portfolio showcasing VFX work.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Unreal Engine, with a strong understanding of its core principles.
  • Proficiency in the Niagara VFX System.
  • Experience in shader creation and optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for technical challenges.
  • Proficiency in Maya (basic modeling, mapping, skinning, simulation, simple animation) and Photoshop.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Passion for video games and a solid understanding of game-related special effects.
