Job description

The Partner Advisor is the driving force in the growth, management, and overall development of Workiva’s growth and emerging partnerships. This role will be focused on Channels and Alliances as a part of the North America Alliances Organization, reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Channels & Alliances.

This person will be responsible for nurturing and growing all Partners in our growth portfolio, as well as managing the new partner onboarding program. The ultimate outcome of the efforts of this position include expanding the Ecosystem, driving Partners' services growth, Workiva sourced and influenced bookings, and graduating Partners to a Managed status. They will develop profiles for their portfolio to enable key stakeholders to understand at a glance which of the partners in growth and development are investing in building their Workiva Practice.

The Partner Advisor will work in a highly matrix-oriented environment with (including but not limited to) Partner Solutions Directors, Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Customer Success, Services, and Sales Operations. They will educate key stakeholders on the unique and differentiated value of the growth portfolio, manage new partner activation, develop and manage the growth portfolio pipeline, forecast on their business with precision, and measure results throughout the course of the fiscal year. They will work Solution Directors on deal origination, deal maturation and deal close where appropriate.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the growth portfolio of up to 75 partners

  • RSIs

  • ISVs

  • Develop and manage new partner intake and onboarding process

  • Activate new partnerships

  • Advise and guide the portfolio

  • Take ownership of partner related escalations

  • Drive partner engagement

  • Build relationships with high level executives and strategic thinkers at ‘high potential’ partners

  • Understanding partners’ client base and markets they serve, using competitive insights to create actionable outcomes

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years partner/alliance account management experience in a Software, or SaaS company

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success driving revenue via direct and partner influenced opportunities

  • Proven history in meeting or exceeding quota via alliance-related functions

  • Experience with multiple technological platforms and high technical acumen

  • Strong background in strategic, consultative selling

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results and continuous improvement

  • The ability to work successfully in a high-energy, fast paced, rapidly changing environment is necessary

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple processes, programs, and procedures simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Ability to foster a team selling environment, both internally and externally

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and strong ability to be flexible in work approach based on business needs

Travel Requirement & Working Conditions

  • Up to 35% travel across North America to meet with Partners and internal teams

  • Reliable internet access required for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva office

How You’ll Be Rewarded

✅ Salary range in the US: $106,000.00 - $172,000.00

✅ Eligible for commission based on sales performance

✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
