We are looking for a Regional Finance Senior Associate – EMEA, which is a remote position in Europe. You will join a growing company that is creating an entirely new category and is led by a veteran team in this unique industry space. You are someone who loves navigating finance-based challenges and who can help with the daily finance operations, while driving process improvements to increase efficiencies. You will work on a broad range of corporate finance roles and responsibilities across the EMEA region, including the support of local financial reporting, oversight of daily operations for certain European entities, preparation of financial statements, tax returns and more.

You will report to the Regional Finance Senior Manager - EMEA.

This job is fully remote based in the United Kingdom / Ireland.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Help with the local month-end close processes and maintenance of general ledgers.
  • Ensure accurate monthly financial reporting deliverables, including reconciliations, balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement.
  • Analyze accounting data to produce financial insights and forecasts.
  • Oversight and support of daily finance operations within EMEA Region.
  • Prepare, record, and adjust Journal entries.
  • Process, research and record invoices, payments, and expenses.
  • Perform monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations to guarantee an accurate monthly accounting close process, including the review of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable accounts.
  • Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company procedures, and regulations.
  • Work with local Vendors to help prepare local statutory financial statements for relevant assigned entities.
  • Work with local Vendors to assist with the preparation and review of Tax filings on a monthly/quarterly basis (including VAT returns).
  • Participate in the budgeting process and financial statement audits.
  • Identify and assist with process improvements projects across the EMEA region.
  • Help with special projects based on the needs of the finance department, and other tasks.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
  • Relevant professional qualification in finance such as CA/ACCA/CPA (full qualification preferred).
  • 4+ years of accounting/finance experience.
  • NetSuite experience preferred.
  • Foreign Currency transaction experience preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • In-depth understanding of accounting month close processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Promote effective interaction with all levels of personnel.
  • Display appropriate ethical knowledge through extraordinary integrity and professional conduct.
