You will work directly with our VP of Growth to support the various aspects of business development for a cybersecurity/intelligence/IT government contractor. This position is 100% remote; however, the ideal candidate will live within a commutable distance from the Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia (DMV)Metro areas to attend occasional events, meetings, and work sessions. Please be aware, that this is a full-time salaried administrative and analysis support role and is not a sales or commissioned-based position.

What You'll Do
  • Support phia’s business development lifecycle including tracking solicitations, identifying business opportunities, and customer management.
  • Monitor government intelligence platforms, and manage and update the CRM/Sales Pipeline.
  • Circulate opportunities to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Support proposal activities including scheduling, coordination, knowledge capture, and production of documentation and artifacts.
  • Contribute to the upkeep and improvement of our knowledge base.
  • Assist with the completion of data calls, requests for information, and market surveys.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings, project review calls, professional conferences, seminars, and industry events, as needed.
  • Provide business development-related administrative and support duties as needed.

  • Requirements: Skills + Experience
  • You have 3 or more years of experience in a growth-related field specifically supporting GOVCON activities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Proven ability to work virtually.
  • Must be able to attend occasional conferences, events, meetings, or work sessions in person in the DMV (DC/MD/VA metropolitan area).
  • Must complete company employment background check before starting.

  • Desired Skills + Experience + Qualities
  • You have a burning desire to manage the Business Development Lifecycle.
  • You’re an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Your proactive nature allows you to take initiative and run projects with minimal supervision.

  • Deadlines have nothing on you – you know how to manage competing priorities and stay on task.
  • You have mastered attention to detail.
  • Your assertive personality gives you a high comfort level in speaking with senior-level leadership, partners, and customers.
  • Not only do you know what emotional intelligence is – yours is super high!
  • You have a dedicated workspace in your home and have proven experience effectively performing in a remote and virtually collaborative environment.
  • While some college is preferred, we recognize not everyone has that option. What’s more important is your drive, your passion, and your desire to learn and grow.
  • You can be flexible: This is a Full-Time, core business hours position that will occasionally require attending scheduled events and meetings outside of the standard M-F business hours. We are flexible too! Your start and stop times to be determined with the approval of your supervisor
  • Last but not least, you know your way around MS Office, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • This position requires U.S. Citizenship.
