Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Highlights:
  • Contract type: Independent Contractor
  • Schedule: 40 paid hours a week, Mondays to Fridays
  • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Denver, Colorado - MST with a 1-hour unpaid break and 2 paid 15-minute breaks (11:00 PM - 8:00 AM Manila Time)
  • Each shift includes a 1 hour unpaid break and one paid 15 minute break for every 4 hours worked. The unpaid break does not count towards the 4 hours.
  • Training provided on required software and processes.

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Accountant or an agile-minded Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex financial transactions and the ability to adapt to our unique accounting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage complex books with numerous transactions against a running loan owed to the company owner
  • Post daily bank activity and collect receipts and invoices to match transactions
  • Handle Accounts Payable posting (actual payments will be managed separately)
  • Track and manage departmental accounting
  • Develop initial drafts of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounting processes
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations as part of book cleanup efforts
  • Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy


Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on complex financial transactions
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with departmental accounting and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Innovative mindset with a proactive approach to process improvement
