Job description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking an experienced Digital Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance digital solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solution architecture, cloud technologies, enterprise system integrations, and software development . This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation initiatives.

Requirements
  • Experience as a data architect, software architect, or senior data engineer, where the proposed resource’s focus has been collaborative work on and/or with cross-functional teams to create new software applications
  • Experience conveying technical information to non-technical people and advising decision-makers on technical options.
  • Experience in leading solution architecture and introducing the overall technical vision for a large-scale Enterprise projects with integrations between systems.
  • Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and the ability to leverage them to build scalable and resilient architectures.
  • Experience working as a software architect on complex software solutions in an agile team environment.
  • Experience working in software development across the full software development lifecycle
  • Experience working with open source ecosystems such as Node.js.
  • Experience leading domain modelling and database schema design for transactional and reporting systems.
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps in an enterprise environment
  • Experience incrementally transforming existing legacy systems into modern digital services across multiple releases.
  • Experience working within an organization equivalent in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta.​
