About the Role: We are seeking a talented Information Architect to design and implement a modern data architecture for business intelligence (BI) reporting. This role requires expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure data storage, and Power BI for data visualization. You will be responsible for creating a unified data lake that ingests data from Dynamics 365 and transforms it for seamless reporting through Power BI. Responsibilities:
Design and develop a data lake architecture on Microsoft Azure for ingesting and storing data from Dynamics 365 applications.
Understand and analyze Dynamics 365 data models to identify relevant entities and attributes for reporting purposes.
Develop data transformation pipelines using Azure Data Factory or other ETL/ELT tools to cleanse, transform, and load data into the data lake.
Design and implement data models within Power BI to facilitate efficient data exploration and analysis.
Create interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using Power BI for various business users.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Document the data architecture, data models, and transformation processes for future reference and maintenance.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Dynamics 365, Azure data services, and Power BI.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Information Architect, Data Architect, or similar role.
Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 data models and entities.
Expertise in Microsoft Azure data storage solutions, such as Azure Data Lake Storage.
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices.
Proficiency in data transformation tools like Azure Data Factory or SSIS.
In-depth knowledge of Power BI for data visualization and report creation.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with ISV solutions and enhancements in the D365 landscape.
Experience with cloud data warehousing solutions like Azure Synapse Analytics.
Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.
Experience with data quality tools and techniques.
Experience with DevOps principles for data pipelines.
Certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure Data Services, or Power BI (a plus).
