Job description

Location:  This position may be performed remotely with travel to the Boston area as needed.

The Opportunity

At Praxis we’re searching for a proactive and enterprising individual to fill the role of Senior Manager, Investor Relations. In this key role, you will work closely with and support the CEO, CFO and other senior management to optimize the company’s interactions with investors and other stakeholders. You are well-versed in investor relations issues including regulatory, disclosure, proxy and corporate governance.  You possess a tremendous sense of ownership when it comes to your work, ensuring a seamless experience for investors and stakeholders alike. You have a natural curiosity for understanding how drugs are developed and the biology of their mechanism of action.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track market activity, industry and market trends, and provide analyses and insight.
  • Support senior management with scheduling and coordinating investor, sell-side and bank interactions, including non-deal roadshows, investor conferences and related events.
  • Research and maintain a working knowledge base of investor relations issues, including regulatory, disclosure, proxy and corporate governance, and shareholder-related concerns.
  • Develop and manage a shareholder intelligence database to monitor and track market activity, industry and market trends, competitor and analyst research. 
  • Monitor sell-side analyst research reports on the company, its competitors, and customers and consolidate sell-side models to maintain a consensus model.
  • Perform analysis for shareholder targeting and tracking of institutional holders.
  • Work with Corporate Communications to manage the Investor Relations website and communications to investors (press releases, corporate presentation updates, social media updates). Assist in the development of key messages and corporate positioning.


Qualifications and Key Success Factors

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, journalism, finance, economics or a related field; plus, a minimum of 5 years of experience in investor relations. Knowledge of life science healthcare markets is strongly preferred but not necessarily required.
  • Strong financial and investment analysis skills with thorough understanding of financial modeling. Experience developing and effectively communicating complex financial results and strategy messages.  Excellent presentation skills, including writing and editing. 
  • Ability to think strategically and operate within an agile company and team framework. Must possess a "roll up your sleeves" attitude and be able to work seamlessly across the organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerBI, with an ability to compile and synthesize large amounts of data.
  • Maintains excellent confidentiality, trust and appreciation of appropriate disclosure and interaction with a breadth of senior stakeholders.

To round out this world-class total rewards package, we provide base salary compensation as outlined below.  Final salary range may be modified commensurate with job level, education, and experience.
