At CI&T, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Backend Developer to join our team in Brazil. You will contribute to an innovative US-based project in a collaborative, fast-paced, and results-driven environment.
As a Senior Backend Developer, you will focus on developing and managing a collection of self-contained distributed services, including embedded systems. These services are designed for high availability and reliability, built on reusable tools, adapters, and common architectural patterns. Your work will power workflows, business logic, and facilitate bi-directional communication across data sources and API/Edge services, forming the core systems that drive our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software applications;
- Contribute to end-to-end solution design and development, working on both frontend and backend components;
- Build and maintain underlying data and service layers for applications interacting with data stores such as MS SQL and Oracle;
- Participate in the design of contracts and schemas for APIs and middleware services;
- Establish design patterns, build component libraries, and contribute to technical documentation;
- Embrace continuous learning to pursue company-paid certifications and accreditations.
Must-have Skills:
- Solid experience with C# .NET and Python for building backend services, adapters, and tools;
- Excellent understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and end-to-end solution execution;
- Experience with design, implementation, and consumption of API services and service-oriented architecture patterns;
- Experience with decoupled distributed services;
- Proficiency in debugging and profiling applications to enhance their efficiency, scalability, and stability;
- Working knowledge of RESTful and event-driven architectures;
- Familiarity with GraphQL and other API strategies;
- Experience with Azure cloud services, IoT, and edge computing;
- Working knowledge of OpenAPI / Swagger specifications;
- Familiarity with modern authorization mechanisms for secure, role-based access;
- Strong understanding of core programming concepts, such as algorithms and data structures;
- Proficiency with Git and Azure DevOps or other CI/CD tooling;
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Terraform.
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Experience with Single Page Applications (SPA) and Progressive Web Applications (PWA) is a plus;
- Familiarity with specialty JavaScript UI frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue is advantageous;
