As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be the subject matter expert on OpenData Clinical data structure, pipeline, and quality. You’ll ensure data accuracy, align it with product goals, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders. You will analyze large datasets, identify trends, and collaborate with teams across product management, data operations, governance, engineering, and QA to improve data quality and inform decision-making.
What You'll Do
Assure that data quality and compliance meet our high standards
Extract data from databases (e.g., Redshift, Mongo DB)
Analyze large data sets and generate insights
Identify data gaps and quality issues and provide root cause analysis
Build and maintain a technical data model (entity relationship diagram)
Create customized reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders
Requirements
3+ years of experience in data analysis or data quality
Proven experience managing data analytics projects and reporting to senior management
Advanced SQL, Python, or R skills for data manipulation and automation
Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Strong communication skills in English
Based in Spain or Portugal
Technical background in life sciences data or related fields
Strong analytical skills with large, complex datasets
Detail-oriented, quick learner with a growth mindset
Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote, international environment
Passionate about data, life sciences, and contributing to a growing tech company
Based in Ireland
Nice to Have
Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or relevant certifications in data analysis or life sciences
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) for data storage and analysis
Familiarity with automation tools or workflows to streamline data processing
Basic knowledge or experience with machine learning algorithms and applications
Knowledge of best practices for data governance, quality control, and compliance (e.g., GDPR)
Ability to work with diverse teams (e.g., product, engineering, operations) to align data strategies with business objectives
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot data-related issues efficiently
Proficiency in other languages would be beneficial in an international team environment
