This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm Sacramento, CA
  • Includes 1 hour unpaid break
  • Commissions available for hitting targets​

Job Description

As an Appointment Setter, you’ll be at the forefront of our client’s operations, serving as the crucial first point of contact for individuals and businesses dealing with significant property losses. In this fast-paced role, you’ll manage incoming inquiries, expertly screen potential clients, and schedule appointments for licensed public adjusters. You’ll play a vital part in educating callers about the valuable services public adjusters provide, ensuring that those in need receive prompt, professional assistance. Responsibilities
  • Answer and manage a high volume of incoming calls from potential clients experiencing property losses
  • Conduct initial screenings to determine if callers meet the firm’s criteria for large loss claims
  • Clearly and compassionately explain the role of public adjusters and the benefits they provide to policyholders
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments between potential clients and licensed public adjusters
  • Utilize CRM software to maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all client interactions and appointments
  • Make outbound calls to follow up on leads and confirm scheduled appointments
  • Collaborate closely with public adjusters to manage their schedules effectively
  • Handle basic customer inquiries and efficiently route complex issues to appropriate team members
  • Assist in lead generation efforts, including managing responses from digital marketing campaigns
  • Provide regular reports on call volumes, appointment statistics, and lead quality
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a focus on clear, empathetic customer interactions
  • Previous experience in customer service, appointment setting, or a call center environment
  • Basic understanding of insurance terminology and processes (preferred but not required)
  • Proficiency in using virtual phone systems, CRM software, and general computer applications
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Adaptability and quick learning capabilities to keep up with changing disaster situations and client needs
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and discretion
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free work environment
  • Willingness to occasionally adjust working hours to accommodate urgent client needs or disaster-related spikes in activity
