We are seeking an experienced Senior ETRM System Analyst to configure, maintain, and optimize the Allegro platform for trading, risk management, and back-office operations. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective system functionality.

 

Position Title: Senior ETRM System Analyst

 

Location: Remote - Colombia/Mexico

 

What you will be doing:

 

We are seeking a skilled Senior ETRM System Analyst with expertise in configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the Allegro ETRM platform to support energy trading, risk management, and back-office operations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective utilization of the platform by collaborating closely with traders, risk managers, IT teams, and other stakeholders. This role involves system customization, providing end-user support, and integrating Allegro with other enterprise systems. It also requires ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, thereby having a significant impact on the organization's trading efficiency and risk management.   • Provide end-user support for the Allegro platform, diagnosing and resolving technical and functional issues efficiently.
  • Maintain and configure Allegro modules according to detailed business requirements, ensuring system integrity and performance.
  • Monitor system performance using tools and dashboards to ensure high availability and proactively identify potential problems.
  • Collaborate with traders, risk managers, and other stakeholders to understand and document detailed business process needs in trading, risk, and reporting.
  • Customize Allegro for specific business requirements, including developing scripts and adjusting parameters for optimization.
  • Design and implement extensions, reports, and dashboards as needed, collaborating with IT teams for system integration.
  • Deliver comprehensive training and produce detailed documentation, including user manuals, system configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Participate actively in Allegro upgrade and enhancement projects, and be and be responsible for testing and deployment tasks.
  • Ensure the Allegro system effectively aligns with regulatory compliance and supports risk management processes.

 

Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with Allegro ETRM software, focusing on configuration, maintenance, and optimization.
  • Advanced understanding of energy trading, risk management, and back-office processes.
  • Proficiency in SQL, specifically with Microsoft SQL databases, and database management.
  • Familiarity with scripting and customization within the Allegro platform using C#, AllegroScript, and SQL.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience integrating Allegro with other enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ETRM platforms). (preferred)
  • Knowledge of trading and risk management in commodities such as oil, gas, power, and renewables. (preferred)
  • Understanding regulatory requirements in energy markets (e.g., FERC, NERC, etc.). (preferred)
  • Experience with reporting tools and dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). (preferred)

 

Nice to Haves:
  • Certification in energy trading or risk management, such as a Energy Risk Management Certificate (ERM).
  • Experience with middleware solutions for seamless system integration and data flow.
