Job Purpose

In this thrilling role, you’ll:

  • Lead Regional Efforts: Collaborate with diverse teams across regions, tackling design challenges head-on and providing top-notch support to our North Houston Gremp campus service team.
  • Innovate and Strategize: Identify and price cutting-edge equipment, whether sourced internally or externally, to ensure our projects are equipped with the best tools for success.
  • Support Tender and Project Activities: Play a crucial role in tender processes, ensuring our project proposals are competitive and compelling.
Job Description
  • Ensure that project factory acceptance tests and system integrations tests for remote intervention tooling interfaces are complete and executed according to plan.
  • Lead a dedicated team of ROV Tooling Technicians on the maintenance and repair of the TPFMC Tooling Pool
  • Understanding of SAP software application for procurement of tooling and services. 
  • Ability to work unsupervised in remote locations i.e. West/East Africa, Trinidad, North America.
  • Assists in readiness reviews to ensure tooling is available for projects. 
  • Ensure that the TPFMC tooling is keep up to industry standards. 
  • Recommend tooling upgrades to enhance TPFMC offshore operations.  
  • Minimize tooling costs by ensuring the correct ROV tooling from 3rd party rental companies is delivered and returned according to schedule. 
  • Advise on general installation and testing procedures to confirm ROV tooling suitability. 
  • Ensure that all ROV tools and equipment proposed and utilized for the project are engineered and fit for purpose. 
  • Maintain the ROV Tooling Tracker for billing purposes. 
  • Ensure all ROV tooling and hydraulic hoses are certified and maintain a certification log.  
  • Assist with VMAX team to optimize design and accessibility to our subsea hardware.
  • Implement an RFID data base of all tooling and accessories for tracking and locating tooling during mob and demob of projects.  
  • Operation and maintenance of mock ROV for project system integration tests.
You are meant for this job if:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Greater than 10 years of experience in offshore/subsea industry with particular emphasis in ROV operations and ROV tooling.
  • Experience supervising a team of Tooling Technicians of all levels.
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC, VISAs and medical certs such as BOSIET, UKOA and/or OGUK.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong understanding of Subsea Umbilical’s, Risers, and Flowline (SURF) infrastructure with general awareness of SPS (Subsea Production Systems)
  • Strong understanding of ROV capabilities, operations and experience in collaborating with vessel teams
  • ROV piloting experience
  • Must have good planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • Takes responsibility for delivery.
  • Familiar with installation software tools Autocad.
  • Proactively engages with Quality and HSES initiatives.
  • Shows respect for subordinates and coworkers.
  • Collaborates transparently to address what truly matters and always delivers on promises.
  • Proven ability to build trust with project and field support team members.

Work Environment/ Physical Demands:

Work Environment:

  • Workshop based position with occasional trips offsite/offshore.
  • 75% workshop environment and 25% field (onshore / offshore) environment.
  • Up to 25% Travel required to support business trips and/or project execution (mobilization, demobilization and offshore operations) domestically and internationally.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent sitting and operating a computer when in the office.
  • Frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs / ladders while onboard the vessel, as well as exposure to sea conditions (vessel movement, summer heat, etc.)
