Job description

Overview

 

The Payer & Access Cell Therapy leaders are responsible for formulating and executing account plans engaging both Regional and National payor customers and targeted hospitals / health systems. This person is also responsible for payor segmentation, medical policy development, reimbursement support, and support of field sales team members. Strong collaboration skills is a must as this role will require you to engage in several cross functional engagements with Medical Affairs, Legal, Field Sales, External Affairs and Marketing as required.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

 

·       Develop and execute payer strategy for assigned regional and national payor engagement as well as annual business strategy

·       Deliver and maintain profitable access, advantageous policy, and appropriate reimbursement for Amtagvi™ at regional accounts through commercialization and the life cycle management of Iovance’s portfolio.

·       Accountable for partnerships with targeted hospitals / health systems to ensure patient access for Lifileucel.

·       Frequent interactions with IovanceCares Case Management team to address and resolve patient access issues

·       Track key metrics and ensuring accuracy of executive dashboards to measure account market access results

·       Present analysis of scientific data, clinical practice goals, guidelines, and anticipated economic program outcomes to support product value proposition

·       Utilize clinical expertise of Managed Markets Liaisons or medical providers in delivering comprehensive product and disease state presentations to key decision makers.

·       Assist field representatives with reimbursement challenges

·       Must adhere to Iovance Biotherapeutics’ core values, policies, procedures, and business ethics.

·       Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

    

Travel - May require up to 75% travel based on business need

 

Required Education, Skills, and Knowledge

·       Bachelor’s Degree Required

·       12 years related payor or hospital reimbursement account experience in the healthcare industry

·       Proven relationships with Commercial Payor Medical Directors, Medicare Part A, State Medicaid, and Managed Medicaid stakeholders

·       Strong analytical skills with experience in payor CRM, payor policy development, and using data tracking tools

·       Problem solving skills and multi-tasking experience are critical

·       Proactive, results-oriented, collaborative, self-starter with demonstrated strong leadership skills and experience in a complex reimbursement environment

·       Excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal

·       Knowledge of regulations and laws governing the protection of patient identifying information, OIG, FDA, and CMS policies pertaining to access

·       Must be a true team player and work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders

·       High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point is required

 

Preferred Education, Skills, and Knowledge

 

·       Master’s Degree Preferred

·       Past Sales or Contracting skills desirable

·       Past specialty inpatient hospital launch experience is a plus
