Job Highlights:
This Team specializes in Leave of Absence responsibilities and are responsible for supporting the administration of employee leave of absence programs, including FMLA both State and Federal, Short-term disability, parental leave, corporate leaves and ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations regarding sick leave, required PTO.
In addition, this Team inputs payroll and analyzes pay slips to explain payments to employees. They also consult with internal leaders and HR Partners regarding leave status, return to work, or transition to Long Term Disability and employment separation.
Experience with any of the following would be a plus.
- Knowledge of SSM Health absence policy
- Knowledge of FMLA and related of laws and regulations.
- Ability to work independently under pressure.
- Ability to classify and enter data accurately.
- Experience with explaining and managing disability benefits.
Candidates selected for this role, can work in our St. Louis Mission Hill Office or can work remotely from any of the below approved States.

Job Summary:
Assists with the day-to-day administration of the employee benefit programs such as life insurance, health care coverage, disability, retirement and other related programs. May specialize in one area within employee benefits.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recommends changes to benefits based on feedback received from employees and other data.
- Coordinates the delivery of benefits and fund transfers with benefit vendors.
- Supports the HR Business Partners with communication and other administrative support for benefit programs.
- Participates in the development of employee benefits policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience or education

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Rare climbing.
