Summary:

The Tax Resource Manager works closely with the Tax Operations Partner and key service leaders within the service line. The Resource Manager serves as an expert on scheduling, utilization and talent deployment while contributing to overall firm productivity and a positive employee experience. The Resource Manager should have the ability to manage data accurately to maximize utilization and the workflow process.

 

Candidates with the ability to work hybrid out of Irvine, CA preferred. Qualified remote candidates will also be considered.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Developing strategies for efficient tax resource allocation and forecasting future resource needs based on projects and organizational goals.
  • Overseeing the performance and development of tax professionals, providing guidance and support, and ensuring effective communication within the team.
  • Managing the allocation of tax resources, including tax staff and budgets.
  • Collaborating with Partners and Project Managers to understand their resource needs and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Tracking and evaluating the performance of resources, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing necessary changes.
  • Assessing potential risks related to resource allocation and availability and developing strategies to mitigate those risks.
  • Preparing reports on resource utilization and performance metrics to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.
  • Continuously seeking ways to enhance resource management processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify skill gaps and facilitate training opportunities to enhance team capabilities and ensure resources are well-prepared for challenges.
  • Addressing and resolving conflicts that may arise within the team or with other departments regarding resources allocation and priorities.
  • Organizing meetings with tax professionals related to resource management and project goals.

Nonessential Functions:

  • Handling administrative duties, related to Tax Resource Management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Analytical skills with a detailed-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

Pay Range: $90,000-$120,000
