Cloud DevOps Engineer

Our client is seeking a skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience in CI/CD tools, scripting, containerization, container orchestration, and infrastructure as code. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on AWS cloud services and a good understanding of Azure and Google Cloud. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing scalable and secure cloud infrastructure, as well as optimizing and automating deployment pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

CI/CD Pipeline Management:

• Design, implement, and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Develop and maintain scripts for automating build, test, and deployment processes.

Containerization and Orchestration:

• Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized applications using Docker.
• Implement and manage container orchestration with Kubernetes or AWS ECS/EKS.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

• Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Ensure infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and secure.

Cloud Security and IAM:

• Implement and manage cloud security best practices, including encryption, KMS, Secrets Manager, monitoring, and incident response.
• Configure and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies and roles, implement and integrate with various Identity Providers (IdP) using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML2.0

API Gateways:

• Configure and manage API gateways for secure and scalable API management.
• Implement and monitor API security policies and access controls.

Automation and Scripting:

• Write and maintain automation scripts using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Automate routine tasks to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

Collaboration and Support:

• Work closely with development teams to understand requirements and deliver cloud solutions that meet those needs.
• Provide support for deployment, troubleshooting, and optimization of cloud resources.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a DevOps or cloud engineering role with hands-on experience in AWS. Experience with Azure and Google Cloud is preferred.
• Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar certifications are highly desirable.

Skills:

• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, etc.).
• Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, AWS ECS/EKS).
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
• Solid understanding of cloud security practices, IAM, and API management.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Azure DevOps or Google Cloud Build.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Understanding of microservices architecture and serverless technologies.
