In this role, you will take ownership of the bookkeeping and accounting for the business. The role is a blend of transactional processing and financial/management accounting. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager this is an opportunity to join the business at the beginning of a growth phase with opportunities to elevate as the company expands.

  • Attend to all accounts inbox emails and ensure invoices are processed daily.
  • Daily bank reconciliation’s and attend to outstanding credit card transactions.
  • Reconciliation of all merchant cash (from Shopify, PayPal, Afterpay etc)
  • Accounts payable invoices processed daily, monitor and clear old balances; ensure aged trial balance is accurate at all times.
  • Accounts receivable, review outstanding debtors on weekly basis and attend to old debtors; ensure aged trial balance is accurate at all times.
  • Process month end journal journals and assist in the closure of monthly trial balance.
  • Conducting monthly general ledger reconciliation process, including the processing of transactions and journals as well as responsibility for maintaining the integrity of key balance sheet accounts for Australia and New Zealand.
  • Ensure Intercompany transactions are processed and reconciled monthly.
  • Maintenance of Fixed asset register.
  • Work collaboratively with the finance team and broader business in process improvements for the business.
  • Execution of various ad hoc financial analysis and tasks, within set timelines, as and when required.
  • Development of internal control processes
  • Support the annual audit process.

Qualifications

  • Accounting degree a must
  • Appropriate post-qualification experience in similar accounting role supporting an Australian company.
  • Experience using Xero.
  • A2X and Shopify experience desirable
  • Experience with Cin7 is desirable.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and intermediate to advanced Excel skills a must
  • Proactive approach and positive attitude
  • Strong ability to solve problems, offer solutions and make decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to work to tight deadlines.

Additional Information

Willing to use own equipment with good internet connection.

Working schedule: 7AM - 4PM/ 6AM -3PM MANILA TIME
