Job description

Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

The Technology Operations Centre Analyst will provide initial 24x7 proactive and reactive response to generated alerts and events across the Technology enterprise.  You will manage the initial assessment, event correlation and execution of run book/escalation activities. 

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a remote model.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to Manager, Technology Operations

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

  • Monitor alerts, events, and dashboards to provide initial assessment for any supported issues occurring in a 24x7 setting.

  • Work fixed night shifts: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 11pm – 7am - Tuesday and Wednesday are off

  • Initiate and maintain all internal communication, regarding any issues, from creation to completion. 

  • Capture all details of an issue and maintain a clear record of events within ServiceNow.

  • Execute runbooks for fast resolution of documented issues.

  • Use tools such as Dynatrace, CheckMK, PRTG, SolarWinds to complement monitoring and alerting.

  • Technical knowledge, and hands-on experience with Networking, Systems, and Operating systems such as Linux.

  • Receive calls regarding issues and outages from vendors and processing the respective processes.

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

  • Post-secondary education in Information Technology, System Administration, Information Systems Management or similar disciplines and equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of supporting technology services in a technology operation, service desk, or network operations role.

  • Ability to work alone or in a team and make on the spot decisions. 

  • Understanding of ITIL and its core fundamentals is considered an asset.

  • Technical knowledge such as Networking, understanding various Systems such as SQL Databases, CommVault, and Linux is considered an asset.

  • Working knowledge with tools such as Dynatrace, ServiceNow, CheckMK, and PRTG is considered an asset.

  • Bilingual: Spoken and written French and English, is considered an asset

  • Understanding of payment systems and the merchant acquiring business is considered an asset
