Job description

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Total Rewards Specialist to join our People and Culture team. This role will be responsible for managing and optimizing payroll, HRIS, benefits, and compensation processes to ensure seamless and efficient operations. The Total Rewards Specialist will play a key role in maintaining compliance, driving employee satisfaction, and supporting the organization’s total rewards strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Payroll Administration

· Accurately process payroll on a bi-weekly basis, including calculating wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.

· Reconcile payroll discrepancies and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

· Generate and distribute payroll reports for internal use and audits.

· Collaborate with Finance to ensure timely tax filings and payments.

· Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

2. HRIS Management

· Maintain and update the HRIS system to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

· Manage system configurations and upgrades to optimize functionality.

· Create and generate HRIS reports and dashboards to inform decision-making.

· Train employees and managers on HRIS features and functionality.

3. Benefits Administration

· Oversee day-to-day benefits operations, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.

· Coordinate annual open enrollment processes, including employee communications and system updates.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for benefit-related inquiries and resolve issues with providers.

· Conduct benefits benchmarking to ensure competitive offerings.

· Maintain compliance with ACA, ERISA, and other regulatory requirements.

4. Compensation

· Support the development and implementation of compensation programs, including salary structures and pay bands.

· Conduct market analyses to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices.

· Assist in the administration of merit increases, bonuses, and other rewards programs.

· Maintain records related to compensation decisions and ensure adherence to compensation policies.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

· 3-5 years of experience in payroll, benefits, HRIS, or compensation.

· Experience with Paycor preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

· Strong understanding of payroll, HRIS, benefits, and compensation practices.

· Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and create actionable insights.

· Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Certifications (Preferred):

· Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)

· Professional in Human Resources (PHR)

· Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)
