Founded by a team from Google, Apple, and Intuit, Smith.ai is known for superior call answering services. Our friendly, professional virtual receptionists answer calls, web chats, and texts, book appointments, qualify leads, handle new customer intake, answer questions, and make outbound calls for you and your business. You get the experience of an in-house receptionist, at a fraction of the cost. Our clients say it's the "best business decision" they've made.
Since 2015, we've answered over 1 million calls and chats for lawyers, consultants, agencies, contractors, and many more small businesses and independent professionals.
Our goal is to make your business more efficient and productive. We save you time and money, keep your existing clients happy, and help you grow your business with qualified leads.
ABOUT US Smith.ai has been making life easier and business better for small and medium-sized businesses since 2016. Using a “human + AI” approach, we handle inbound and outbound communication, qualifying leads, and optimizing customer funnels. Our small, fully-remote team spans the globe, with a culture that prioritizes user satisfaction and rapid iteration. (Our design and engineering teams are primarily based in Europe/CEST.) Our customers love us, and their feedback fuels our product development.
ABOUT THIS ROLE As a Senior Product Manager, you will lead the development, launch, and enhancement of our product and internal tools, with a primary focus on growing our AI-first, human-in-the-loop Voice Assistant. (Recent example includes shaping, scoping, de-risking, and leading the development of a custom greeting feature, and creating and sharing video documentation of your work for internal and external audiences.) You’ll work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, balancing user needs with business objectives. You'll be part of a small team, working collaboratively with the entire company. There is significant opportunity to contribute to our team culture and growth.
ABOUT YOU
You thrive in dynamic environments, bringing a strategic mindset and a bias for action. A systems thinker who communicates complex ideas effectively, you balance tactical execution with long-term vision.
Proactive communicator who works with minimal oversight
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving results
Curious about understanding problems and proactive in learning from others
Quick learner who treats challenges as opportunities
More focused on impactful progress than perfection
If you're a lone wolf who prefers isolation, this isn't the right fit. We need a collaborative, adaptable team player.

Prioritize Effectively: Optimize the product backlog by balancing dependencies, impact, and tradeoffs.
